Dr. Charlotte Kupsh (pronounced “cup-sh”) is a writer, teacher, and scholar. Her research focuses on place studies, ecocomposition, and writing pedagogy. She is an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition and the Director of the Writing Center at Ball State University.

She frequently collaborates with the Nebraska Writing Project and the National Parks Service. Her academic work has been published or is forthcoming in journals like Writing on the Edge and Reflections: A Journal of Community Writing and in collections from publishing houses including NCTE, The WAC Clearinghouse, and Routledge.

She is an avid cyclist and has completed RAGBRAI, a 7-day bike ride across the state of Iowa, multiple times.
